A sincere interest in others and a desire to help them succeed has sent Cheryl Schmidt on a career path that included years in the education field before becoming a speaker and trainer. During her more than 20 years in education, she held teaching positions and school leadership positions, culminating in her role as Assistant Head of school. During her tenure there, she also served as Director of Development, where her relationship-building skills were a key ingredient in the school achieving a 90 percent family participation rate in the Annual Fund. Cheryl believes that relationships are of the utmost importance in any career: “I believe the skill that helps people to be most successful is their ability to deal effectively with the people with whom they work, live, associate and meet randomly throughout life. To that end, the themes of workplace relationships and communication show up often in the seminars I conduct.”

Cheryl believes in continuing her own education through reading, audio learning, classroom experiences and interaction with the seminar attendees at the hundreds of seminars she has conducted so that she has the most current information at all times. When you attend a Cheryl Schmidt seminar, you’ll see for yourself why her spirit, down-to-earth style, sense of humor and practical message have made her a favorite of audiences here and abroad.
